Frequently asked questions
Thinking about Spanish lessons for yourself or your child? Find answers about levels, lesson formats and getting started with Learn With Me.
01Who teaches the Spanish lessons?
Lessons are taught by a qualified Modern Foreign Languages teacher with a PGCE and QTS, currently teaching Spanish in a UK secondary school, including Year 11 GCSE classes. Tuition is personalised to your level, interests and learning goals.
02Do you support GCSE and A-level Spanish?
Yes. GCSE tuition supports both Foundation and Higher tiers, including AQA and Edexcel. Lessons can focus on speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar and exam preparation. A-level Spanish support is also available to develop language skills. Please tell me your exam board, current level and the areas you would like help with.
03Can I start as a complete beginner or return after a long break?
Yes. Adult lessons are available from beginner to more advanced levels. You do not need previous Spanish knowledge to start. If you studied Spanish some time ago, we can build on what you remember and develop your confidence at a pace that suits you.
04Can I take Spanish lessons online?
Yes. Online lessons take place via Microsoft Teams. You will need an internet connection and a device with a microphone and speakers or headphones; a camera is helpful for conversation. Please arrange your lesson date and time through the Contact & Booking page.
05Where do face-to-face lessons take place?
Face-to-face lessons are available in the Doncaster area, including Bawtry and Austerfield. They can take place at Bawtry Town Hall, Austerfield Study Centre or the student’s house, subject to availability. Please contact me to agree a suitable location before booking.
06How long is a lesson, and how often should I attend?
A full one-to-one lesson lasts 60 minutes. The right frequency depends on your goals, availability and any exam dates. We can discuss a suitable routine when you enquire. Short, regular practice between lessons can help you build on what you learn.
07How much do lessons cost, and how do I pay?
You can find current prices and payment options on the Contact & Booking page. Please agree a lesson date and time with me before making a payment, and follow the payment instructions for your booking.
08What can I learn in adult Spanish lessons?
Lessons can cover everyday conversation, travel, hotels, eating out, shopping, Spanish culture and practical situations such as appointments or asking for help. We can also work on Spanish for work or moving abroad. Topics, vocabulary and grammar are adapted to your interests, level and goals.
09Do you offer group Spanish lessons?
You can register your interest in adult groups and classes. Group availability depends on interest and scheduling, so please enquire about future options. One-to-one tuition is also available.
10How do I book, and what if I need to cancel or rearrange?
Use the enquiry form or email info@learnwithme.org.uk. Tell me whether the lessons are for you or your child, your current level, your goals and your preferred times. We will agree availability before payment. For cancellations and rearrangements, please read the booking and cancellation policy before booking.
